What IB Diploma PRogram Courses does NAHS offer?
Students must take 7 IB Diploma Courses for the IB Diploma. The first 6 are called “subject groups” and the 7th is IB Theory of Knowledge (TOK). Students must take one course in each subject group for the diploma (Group 6 is interchangeable with any other group if they do not take an IB course in Group 6). Also, AT LEAST 3 HL courses must be in their schedule, so most students end up with 3 HLs and 3 SLs but some students choose to take up to 4 HLs and then 2 SLs. The difference between SL and HL is the amount of content the course covers. Most of our IB DP courses are 2-year courses, regardless if they are SL or HL courses. The only one-year courses we offer are IB Economics, IB Business Management, and IB Math Studies. At NAHS, we offer the following courses in each subject group.
